BUNINYONG
2008
The
chosen site is lightly treed and has distant view to Ballarat.
Larger than a standard site it has a feeling of space and solitude
that matched the client's persona. Despite the spacious appearance
the building envelope was incredibly tight, and the access point was
through the best part of the block. We gained council approval to
shift the site access to the south end of the block and created a
garage on the south side of the house. The house is designed to
maximise solar gain in winter whilst excluding the hot summer sun
and achieves a 6.8-star energy rating.
